About

Abby Hopper is an artist currently working in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2012, and moved to Baltimore shortly after to attend an artist residency with Creative Paradox. Her work draws inspiration from early Japanese textiles and ink prints, patterns in nature, typography, and the early markings of Expressionism. Abby is currently working on many different surfaces, including glass, muslin, wood, paper, and bone. Her design flow is organic both in nature and surface, with the intent of repurposing the inanimate. Abby currently supports her passion by selling wine during the day and DJing at night!
